The event annually brings homelessness into public view through various happenings and media.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The state&#8217;s goal is to <a href=\"https:\/\/asuntoensin.fi\/ohjelma\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eliminate homelessness by the end of 2027<\/a>. This ambitious goal is achievable but requires close cooperation between the state, municipalities, wellbeing services counties, and housing providers. Ending homelessness significantly saves public funds and has far-reaching ripple effects.  <\/p>\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/setlementti.fi\/ajankohtaista\/asunnottomien-yo\/\">Read 10<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/setlementti.fi\/ajankohtaista\/asunnottomien-yo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> concrete measures to eliminate homelessness &gt;<\/a> <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p>Preventive services play a significant role in preventing homelessness. The draft law on centralizing housing advisory grants to municipalities excludes many housing service providers from receiving funding, which may not serve the goal of preventing homelessness. Grassroots work in preventing social exclusion is crucial in combating homelessness.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The role of non-profit housing providers grows during challenging times. Setlementtiasunnot emphasizes community within its buildings and active resident involvement, enabling potential problems to be addressed at the earliest possible stage.
