Excessive indoor heat is not pleasant \u2013 but you can influence your home&#8217;s temperature with simple measures. <\/p>\n\n<p>The best way to avoid heat is to keep the scorching air firmly outside and, on the other hand, to avoid using heat-generating appliances in your apartment.<\/p>\n\n<p>Here are some tips to improve your living comfort during summer and avoid uncomfortable heat.<\/p>\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check that your apartment&#8217;s radiators are turned off.<\/li>\n\r\n\r\n\n<li>Keep windows and doors closed during the day.<\/li>\n\r\n\r\n\n<li>Ventilate through windows, especially in the evenings and at night, during the coolest hours. If you do open a window during the day, only open it on the shaded side of the building. <\/li>\n\r\n\r\n\n<li>Use window blinds or Venetian blinds.<\/li>\n\r\n\r\n\n<li>Switch off unnecessary electrical appliances. Avoid baking with the oven, for example. <\/li>\n\r\n\r\n\n<li>Use an air cooler if necessary. A fan circulates the room air, which helps dissipate heat from your skin. Another option is a portable air conditioner, which cools the room air.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\r\n\n<p>Also remember: Damp bathroom areas dry slower in summer than in winter \u2013 so ensure that the air circulates in the space throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips for using a fan<\/h2>\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Switch off the fan when you are not in the room.<\/li>\n\r\n\r\n\n<li>Limit the area to be cooled by closing doors and windows. A fan primarily cools the room in which it is placed. <\/li>\n\r\n\r\n\n<li>You can get more out of a traditional fan by directing cool night air from an open window into, for example, a bedroom, or by directing warm air out of the room.
