Malmi's Ormuslinna enjoyed the autumn harvest and planned the establishment of an eco -committee.
The harvest season culminates in the Ormuslinna Setlement House deliciously: organic vegetable food created from the season's vegetables. It is indeed a local food, as the gardener Steven has repaired the vegetables the day before less than a kilometer.
Previously, kerro me about Green City Farm , where Setlement Housing is involved as one of the main partners. Now spring and summer work is being rewarded. On the plates of the inhabitants, the pumpkin soup steams and it is enjoyed with salad and rustic bread. Of course, there is coffee and buns for dessert.
Environmental values are important to setting dwellings. In order to prevent ecology from being at the level of speech, the purpose is to set up eco -committees for houses. They are unofficial, resident -looking clubs where the activities are shaped by participants.

Laura Hahkala, a resident coordinator for Setlement Housing, the idea for the committee originally came from Tampere from the Hervanta Setlement House.
"The idea is to gather people interested in ecology. They can organize events and excursions, for example."

Every participant in the harvest party gets Provence herbs, ie bundles of candles, thyme, oregano and rosemary. Pirkko Luotamo, a resident of Ormuslinna, admires the intoxicating scent of organic herbs. He says that the calendar is full of hobbies, but considers the Eco Committee to be worthwhile.

When we have a loss week, the question is: What happens to the over -food food? No problem, the cupboards soon appear in tips and bags where soup and salad will conveniently go to the homes of the residents for evening meals. And let's give a different tip to solve the loss problem.
"If food is over, you can invite your neighbors to the village!"
