Can I have the keys to the apartment before the lease starts?
The keys cannot be transferred before the lease begins. The resident may pick up the keys once the lease is in force and the security has been paid or the reel or social commitment has arrived for us.

When will the collateral be paid?

Are the parking space and the use of the common areas of the house?
The use of the laundry, the gym, community space and the use of any other common spaces are included in the rent. The sauna shifts and the parking space are paid.

How can I book a parking space?

What is the notice period for the parking space?
The termination period for the parking space lease is one month of calendar, in which the agreement ends on the last day of the month following the notice.

Can I rent a parking space for a short time?
It is not possible to enter into a parking space lease on a fixed term. The parking spaces will be leased through an indefinite contract, with a mutual notice period of one calendar month, in which case the contract expires on the last day of the month following the notice.

How do I reserve common spaces?
You can book common facilities Kerro application or in some of our houses by marking the booking book in the booking book. The Postipuisto block house has its own reservation system.

Is electricity included in the rent?
Electricity is not included in the rent. You must make an electricity agreement yourself.

Is it possible to change the due date for the rent payment?
The due date for the rent is the same for all our residents and it is not possible to change the due date.

My key is lost or I need an additional key, what do I do?

Why hasn't my name changed to the door?
Have you remembered to make a maintenance request for your maintenance company? The service company will change the name to your door after you have made a service request.

My spouse moved to live with me. Who do I inform?

Rent, payments

Can I have a rent for a payment?

Why does the payment note show that, for example, a parking space is unpaid even though I have paid for it?
The charges you have made will be made available from the eldest to the latest in the chronological order. First, the default interest rates, then rent and other charges, are finally set off for payment reminders.

I have accumulated rent debt. Can I make a payment plan?

Neighbors and common facilities

What do I do when I'm worried about my neighbor?

Concerns about a person's well -being can arouse if a person is unable to get help or understand their need for help. Concerns can be caused, for example, by surviving an elderly person at home, problems of living alone in an adult living, or conditions of a child.

You can also make a concern for your region's social service. The notification can also be submitted anonymously. Urgent notification is made electronically in accordance with the instructions of the community. You can also make a concern about yourself or your family.

In urgent matters, call the social and crisis or emergency number 112.

My neighbor causes housing disorders. What do I do?
If your neighbor's living is disturbing, it is primarily worth noting for the cause of the disturbance. It may be that the resident himself does not know that his living or behavior is disturbing. If the discussion does not help, please make a residential disorder. In order to intervene, we need a written notice of residential disorder, signed by at least two people. Fill out the disturbance announcement electronically and send it to us by email to info@setlementtiasunnot.fi .

I have made a disturbance from my neighbor. How does this progress after this?
After the announcement, we will investigate the background of the case and contact the cause of the disturbance. We may give a note or a written warning depending on the quality of the disorder. Measures may not be taken if the disorder is minor and short -term. Settlement homes cannot tell the neighbors what action has been taken with disorders. If the disorder continues after the written notice you have made, make a new written notification.

My laundry has disappeared. What do I do?
Settlement homes are not responsible for lost laundry. You can contact your neighbors yourself, for example, by leaving the note on the laundry or on the bulletin board.

Can I smoke in the yard of the house?
Smoking is prohibited throughout the site unless there is a specifically marked smoking site.

Home maintenance

Can I attach shelves or paintings to the walls of the apartment?
Yes you can. The new houses have a table of tables to hang the paintings. Remember, however, that no holes should be drilled in the wall or near the electrical cabinet for any water or electrical wires.

Can I paint the wall of the apartment?
Yes you can, but when you move away, you should restore the wall to the original color.

Can I drill holes in the bathroom wall?
You should not drill as drilling may damage the water pipes.

Can I drill holes in the ceiling?
You should not drill as drilling may damage the electrical cords.

Can I install a safety chain or door-to-door apartment on the front door?
At your own cost, you can install a safety chain or door-to-door apartment. If you move out, the door eye and safety lock should be left in the door.

How to place or repair any holes in the walls after moving?
If there are plenty of holes, the recommended instructions can be found, for example, on the Tikkurila website .

Do I need permission to install a dishwasher?
You do not need a separate permission to install the dishwasher, but remember that the installation belongs to a professional and that a leak is a leak trap under the machine. This prevents damage to the floor from any water damage. Any water damage caused by a dishwasher is the responsibility of the resident, and if there is no leakage, home insurance will not cover damage. Please note that only a professional installation is approved by home insurance.

I'm installing a dishwasher. Who disassembles the cabinet's dishwasher and connects the machine?
You are responsible for unloading the cabinet and installation of the dishwasher at your own cost. Restoration of the cabinet, including costs and work, when moving away, is your responsibility.

I have noticed small things to fix in my apartment. Who do I inform?

How do I terminate my lease?
We need a written notice of dismissal. You can do it either on the residents page or by sending a completed lease to the dismissal form by email to info@setlementtiasunnot.fi . Read more

How long is the termination period for the lease?
The notice period for the rental apartment is at least one calendar month. The notice period begins with the last day of the calendar month during which you have made the dismissal. Eg dismissal 15.6. Decides on the lease on July 31.

Please note that you can terminate your apartment earlier than a month before - kerro us which month you want to terminate the lease. The end date of the lease is also the date of delivery of the apartment and the keys.

When do I get a guarantee fee refunded?
The security fee will usually be refunded within the following month after the end of the rental liability.

Student apartment

Who can live in a student apartment?
Student housing can be home to adult students, whose studies are leading to a degree, such as students from universities, polytechnics and vocational schools and high school students.

How long can I live in a student apartment after graduation?
We review the right of residents of student housing every year. If you are not a student at the time of the inspection, our lease is terminated. During the notice period, we follow the rent of the apartment. According to it, the termination of the lease shall be six months if the tenancy of the apartment has lasted for at least one year, otherwise three months.

I'm going to a student exchange. Can I rent my apartment for a time to a friend?
The apartment can still be rented for a maximum of 2 years for a reasonable reason. Legal reasons are legal or work in another location or other weighty grounds. If you would like to transfer your apartment for another for a fixed period, apply for permission from us in advance. Remember that the main tenant is always overall responsible for their apartment, including the temporary delivery of the apartment.
