Setlementtiasunnot residents are generally satisfied with their housing, according to the results of the resident satisfaction survey published today by the Promoters of Affordable Rental Housing – KOVA ry.
Residents are particularly satisfied with their landlord’s customer service and living environment. On average, they are also satisfied with public transport connections, the location of the residential building, and the services of the building and the area. In terms of overall satisfaction, Setlementtiasunnot ranked among the best.
Regarding the apartments, the condition of the homes and the adequacy of living space received special praise. Internet connections were also considered good.
An active neighborhood is the heart of operations
Community spirit, active resident activities, and social relationships within the neighborhood are more important factors for Setlementtiasunnot and contribute more to well-being than average. Nearly half feel that resident activities significantly increase well-being, and 43 percent feel that well-being has increased somewhat.
Setlementtiasunnot residents also participate in activities more actively than average: the proportion in the comparison data is 29 percent, while at Setlementtiasunnot it is 48 percent. Resident and club facilities also received praise in the survey. 87 percent of respondents are very satisfied or satisfied with them.
Areas for development specifically included maintenance services, which Setlementtiasunnot will now begin to develop.
16 KOVA member companies participated in KOVA ry’s survey. The survey sample included approximately 20,000 residents, and the response rate was 28 percent. KOVA’s partner in the survey was the Housing Finance and Development Centre (ARA). The survey was conducted by KTI Kiinteistötieto Oy on behalf of KOVA.
The views of ARA rental residents on housing, landlords, housing affordability, and their livelihoods have now been surveyed nationally for the first time. The survey was carried out so that rental housing companies offering affordable rental housing could develop their operations and resident cooperation. Companies can also compare their results with other rental housing companies.
