Disturbance Notification

If there is a disturbance in your building, please make a written disturbance notification if necessary.

Written notifications are required from at least two different households for us to take legal action. The landlord cannot issue a warning based on a complaint made by phone.

You can make a disturbance notification on the tenant pages. Save the completed form to your device and send it as an attachment via the messages function on Setlementtiasunnot’s tenant pages. Select the category “Disturbance”.

Moving In / Moving Out

Persons residing in the apartment must always be registered in the building’s tenant register by returning the Notification for the Tenant Register form to customer service. The same form is also used to notify us when a person registered in the tenant register moves elsewhere.

Notification for the Tenant Register

If a new tenant moves into the apartment or a previously registered tenant moves out, please notify us. The notification is made using a separate form, which should be sent by email to info@setlementtiasunnot.fi.

Please note that there is a separate form for terminating a tenancy agreement.

Temporary Transfer of Apartment

In special circumstances, the main tenant may temporarily transfer the apartment to another person for a maximum of two years. Temporary transfer always requires a written application and the landlord’s approval.

When can you apply for a temporary transfer?

A temporary transfer is possible if you are, for example:

  • In another locality due to work or studies
  • Unable to reside in the apartment due to illness
  • Temporarily absent from your permanent residence for another justified reason

However, the landlord may deny permission if there is a justified reason.

Please note

  • The application must include a reliable explanation for the absence.
  • If permission is granted, you must provide a copy of the fixed-term tenancy agreement you make with the temporary resident.
  • You cannot charge more rent than Setlementtiasunnot charges you.
  • You remain responsible for the obligations of the tenancy agreement and any potential damages, even if the apartment is temporarily occupied by another person.

Termination of Tenancy Agreement

The notice period for the tenant is at least one calendar month. Please note that you can terminate your tenancy earlier than one month in advance – in that case, please inform us by which month-end you wish the tenancy agreement to end.

The notice period begins on the last day of the calendar month during which you have given notice. For example, a notice given on June 15th will terminate the tenancy agreement on July 31st. However, you can give notice for the apartment in advance, for instance, on April 3rd, to terminate on July 31st.

Termination must be done in writing on the tenant pages or using a form. The termination form requires the signature of every party who signed the tenancy agreement. Please submit the signed termination notice as an email attachment to customer service at info@setlementtiasunnot.fi.
