The two-year term of Setlementtiasunnot’s board concludes at the spring 2024 general meeting, where a new board will be appointed. The board also includes resident representation. These resident representatives are an important part of tenant democracy.
It is now time for tenant committees to announce their willing tenant representatives. Candidates must be submitted to us by April 30, 2024, at the latest.
Candidates for tenant representatives are selected at tenant meetings. Tenant committees are responsible for organizing these meetings and subsequently proposing their candidate(s) for tenant representatives.
Setlementtiasunnot’s general meeting will select one or two tenant representatives from among the candidates. The Joint Administration Act stipulates that one resident member shall be elected to the board if the board has four members. If the board has five or more members, two resident members shall be elected to the board. Currently, the board has two tenant representatives.
Tenant committees can submit their candidates by April 30 via email to katri.kaukinen@setlementtiasunnot.fi. Please attach a copy of the tenant meeting minutes, where the candidates have been nominated, to the message.
