During the spring, we updated our strategy for the coming years, working together with our entire staff. In four workshops, we examined our strengths, the current situation, the owner’s wishes, and future prospects.
– It was wonderful to see how the strategy work united our company’s diverse expertise and energy – all of us shared a unified vision for the future, centered around our residents and our skilled staff, says Setlementtiasunnot’s CEO Suvi Tuomala.
Setlementtiasunnot’s operating environment has changed significantly in recent years. Inflation and increased interest costs challenge our cost structure.
– The decision to abolish ARA, the reduction in investment grants for special groups, and the uncertainties surrounding the future of non-profit housing significantly impact our operating environment in the coming years, Tuomala states.
– The strategy work gave us an opportunity to pause and re-evaluate our future direction. This moment was valuable, as it helped us set our compass towards the future. We recognize that the pace of change has never been this fast – and it is unlikely to slow down in the future, Tuomala says.
