Suvi Tuomala and Katri Kaukinen from Setlementtiasunnot have visited the Tampere settlements: Ahjola Settlement, Rientola Settlement, and Tampere Settlement.
“The local settlements are important partners for our housing, so it was nice to visit,” says Tuomala.
“Today, we discussed new opportunities for cooperation. Tampere has truly diverse settlement activities, including child and youth work, courses, community cafés, rehabilitative work activities, and crisis services. At Ahjola, we got to learn about their history and found out that Ahjola Folk High School is the largest private folk high school in Finland,” Tuomala states.
