Matti Siitonen and Antti Kuusiniemi have begun on the Setlement Housing Board . We went to interview with Matti Siito first.

Matti has lived in Setlement Housing for over a year, Borgströminmäki's house .

- I'm really comfortable. When I moved in the spring, I immediately had the yard and I saw the community of this house. They were invited to eat when there were tables in Korea's work, he says.

Soon he also joined the resident committee.

- We are thinking about different activities with the resident committee. For example, on Women's Day, it was a pampering day for women. And, of course, spring and autumn ladies are always, he says.

Residents' representative

Matti says he is interested in influencing things and what is happening around.

"Even small deeds bring big meanings to people," he ponders.

The pursuit of the Settlement dwellings was a natural next step from the resident committee.

"In the resident committee, I encouraged me to make a candidate," he says.

What does he expect from the upcoming term?

- I'm going to the board of the setting dwellings with the fact that I go to see and learn what affects the operation of the setting dwellings. What is significant with a larger formula?

- I want to bring the voice of the residents in the decisions about us. And as a student, I may have something new to give, he nods.

Communality is important

Matti is studying software developer in Hive Helsinki, a coder school funded by Supercell.

- There, too, community spirit is a basic pillar, such as setting apartments. For example, we have no teachers at all, but we evaluate each other's projects, he says.

For Mat, community spirit of the house means taking into account other people, taking everyone involved, and keeping the common facilities clean.

- However, the cleanliness of the environment is very important for people's well -being and a sense of security.

- The community is to say goodbye to the neighbor and chat in the yard. It's fun to change the news, Matti says.

He is pleased with the common areas of his house and the joint vegetation garden of the yard.

- It also encourages that all residents are free to go to pick up vegetables for their own needs, says Matti.
