Make a written notice to terminate the lease
We need a written notice to terminate the lease. You can do it either on the residents page or by sending a notice to terminate the lease form by email to info@setlementtiasunnot.fi .
Notice
The notice period is at least one calendar month. The notice period begins with the last day of the calendar month during which you have made the dismissal. Eg dismissal 15.6. Decides on the lease on July 31.
Please note that you can terminate your apartment earlier than a month before - kerro us which month you want to terminate the lease. The end date of the lease is also the date of delivery of the apartment and the keys.
In case of a divorce
Life sometimes brings changes that cannot be prepared for. If the relationship ends and there is a divorce ahead, it is advisable to handle the lease issues in peace and clearly.
Often the simplest and most smooth solution is to agree together. When the other party decides to move away, he or she may terminate the lease for its part. In this case, his or her obligations will end in accordance with the normal one -month notice period. However, in all situations, a consensus is not achieved and, if necessary, the matter may be brought before the court.
If the difference brings questions about living, you can always contact us.
In the case of death
If our tenant dies, the liability for the lease will be transferred to his estate. The estate may, if it so wishes, terminate or transfer the lease to a person who continues to live. For example, a spouse, a child or a tenant or a senior for the tenant or her spouse can continue living in the apartment if she had already lived in the apartment with a person who died.
If no one continues to live and the estate wants to be released from the responsibilities of the contract, it is advisable to terminate the lease as soon as possible. This follows the normal one -month notice period. With the dismissal, the signature or credentials of all shareholders in the estate are required from those shareholders who do not sign the notification themselves. In addition, an official certificate will be included, which shows the tenant's death day. This document can be obtained from the parish vicar's office or from the Digital and Population Information Agency.
If the apartment continues to live and want to continue the lease, the estate must notify this in writing within three months of the tenant's death. Once the notice is made, the liability of the lease will be transferred to the new tenant and the estate's liability ends.
It is important to us that the transition is done as smooth and respectful as possible - you can contact us at any stage of the process.
