Our Jätkäsaari house is of international interest: German visitors wanted to learn about community living as a means of reducing loneliness. Katri Kaukinen from Setlementtiasunnot presented the house to representatives of the German Bundestag.
A delegation from the German Bundestag’s Committee on Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth visited our country. The purpose of the visit was to learn more about Finland’s strategies for combating loneliness, especially among the elderly. Therefore, the delegation was very interested in meeting with representatives of Setlementtiasunnot.
The delegation visited our Jätkäsaari house and discussed with us the Generations’ Block concept and how it can help reduce loneliness.
