At its December meeting, the Board of Directors of the Setlement Housing has approved rents for 2025. The rent increase in our houses is on average 4.39 %.

We have gone through the costs and cost of the houses, together with the equalization group of the residents.

Why are rents rise?

There are many reasons for rent increases. Costs have risen generally everywhere.

The increase in the VAT rate from 24 % to 25.5 % since September 2024 has pushed pressure on rents, as the cost of maintenance and cleaning, for example, will increase according to the tax increase. Similarly, heating costs have risen.

In addition, the interest rates on the loan are still high and the conversion of the general interest rate is still significantly affected by our interest rate costs.

The use allowances remain unchanged

Usage allowances, such as sauna fees, will remain the same as in 2024.

The rents for all the apartments in our houses are rental rent, meaning that all costs are covered by rent. There is as much rent as the construction, repair, maintenance and management of the dwellings will cost.
