The two -year period for the government of the Settlement dwellings ends at the spring 2024 Annual General Meeting, where a new board will be appointed. The Board also has the representation of the residents. These resident representatives are an important part of resident democracy.
Now, it is time for resident committees to announce their willing resident representatives. Candidates will be notified to us by April 30, 2024.
Candidates as resident representatives are elected at resident meetings. The residents' committees take care of the organization of residents and then submit their own/their own candidates as representatives.
The Annual General Meeting of the Settlement Dwellings elects one or two representatives of the population from the candidates. The Joint Administration Act determines that one resident member is elected to the Board if there are four members on the Board. If there are five or more members on the board, two resident members will be elected to the Board. Currently, there are two resident representatives .
