The Setlement Housing participated in the Setlement Days in Rovaniemi on 19-21 April. The program included speeches on the well -being of the elderly and young people, multiculturalism and the community of work communities. The days also offered a good opportunity to meet new people and share experiences.
The participants had the opportunity to visit the Settlements in Rovaniemi. Our employees visited Domus Arctica , who started operations in 1969. Its founding members are the Rovalan Support Association, the City of Rovaniemi and the Rovaniemi Women's Home School Support Association.
-We visited the Domus Arctica Foundation, known as Dass. It was nice to hear about the company's activities and a positive tune. Communality is a basic theme in houses. We got good ideas for the development of digital systems and services provided to residents, such as shared bikes, says Suvi Tuomala,
Some of the performers in the program numbers shared their thrilling personal experiences of the importance of setting work in their lives. One of them was Iris Steel, 93, who started volunteering at the Rovala Setlement 70 years ago and now lives at the Elderly Housing Service Center maintained by Rovala.

The three -day event also celebrated of the Rovala Setlement . In honor of this, a spectacular celebration was held in Korundi.
Before returning home, the Setlemental residents also visited Santa Claus. It was good to continue back to the desk.
