Borgströminmäki's setting apartments have a work of light art, which is produced by the inhabitants of the house and the topics that are relevant to them.

The "Mental Landscape" is a communal work of light art, whose visual content is produced by residents of setting dwellings. Light artist and designer Reija Pasanen has designed the work as part of the light art of the Kruunuvuorenranta area.

The mental landscape is a transforming visual landscape that is made up of photographs of residents or illustrated by other means. Content for the work has been produced by residents of all ages.

The visual imagery of the light reflects themes that are related to places or things that are relevant to residents or otherwise close to the residents. These include, for example, a longing for childhood home or grandma, as well as things that are associated with safety and well -being.

The residents have chosen a picture of themselves, which they think reflect the theme of the work. The artist has compiled a visual entity that is transformed from the images on the display board.

The work is located at the entrance of the Borgströminmäki site in Setlement dwellings, at Koirasaarentie 19, 00590 Helsinki . It can be seen by everyone from the Koirasaarentie.

The work is implemented with LED display technology, which is commonly used for eg. in billboards. Unlike usually on display tables, the pictures are drawn from behind the softening membrane. In addition, the lighting intensity of the work is adjusted so that the disturbing light is not reflected in the area.

The work is on according to the wishes of the residents.
