Nowadays, it is very common for the most plastic packaging from all types of waste at home. According to our survey, most of our residents are clearly the most plastic waste.
Our houses have our own waste bins or suction pipes for plastic packaging. By sorting the plastic separately, you save at the cost of the house, as sorted waste costs about half less than mixed waste. Thus, waste training will affect your rent.
In addition, recycling of plastic saves natural resources, as new plastic products are made into recycled plastic. Renewal plastic is made eg. shopping bags, waste bags and flower pots.
Purely plastic packaging in a plastic bin
But what can you put in the plastic collection of your house? It includes plastic boxes, wraps, bags, bottles and belts used to pack the products. Other plastic items such as children's toys, buckets, dish brushes, cutting boards and loft chairs are not part of a plastic bin.
Collect plastic packaging in a plastic bag, which you can also throw in the same waste bin.
Put these in a plastic bin:
- Blank food packaging (ready-to-eat food packaging, cut and cheese packages, yogurt jars, butter boxes)
- Shampoo and soap bottles, detergent packages
- Other household plastic packaging, bottles and jars (including toothpaste tubes, disposable plastic pots, plastic bottles, canisters, jars)
- Plastic covers for pick-up dishes
- Plastic bags, bags and wrappers
- Styrox packages and other plastic packaging fillings (including bubble plastic).
Do you know: Plastic packaging does not have to be completely clean, rinsing or sweeping is enough. However, they should be empty.
Don't put these in plastic waste:
- Plastic items purchased from the store (including plastic bowls, buckets, balcony furniture, frozen boxes, plastic toys, hoses). These are part of mixed waste.
- Home bought fresh wrap and frozen bags. These are part of mixed waste.
- Packaging containing hazardous substance (including motor oil canisters, medicinal products containing liquid drugs). These are part of the collection of dangerous substances.
- Bottles with a cleaning chemical (eg toilet cleaner, laundry detergent, home cleanser, dishwashing detergent) are included in the collection of hazardous waste. However, the empty bottle is suitable for plastic waste.
