Individual apartment water meters will be introduced in many of our buildings at the beginning of July. Please see the frequently asked questions on the topic!
Will our building switch to consumption-based water billing?
The buildings transitioning to consumption-based water billing are Verkkosaari, Jousenpuisto, Sompasaari, Postipuisto, Kalasatama, Alppikylä, Jätkäsaari, and Samppalinna.
A fixed water fee based on the number of residents will continue in Pohjois-Haaga, Hervanta, Saunalahti, and Viikki. These buildings do not have individual apartment water meters pre-installed.
How will water billing change in apartments with water meters?
Going forward, water will be billed according to consumption, and there will be no separate fixed water fee. This way, you can influence your housing costs through your own water usage. Special attention should be paid to hot water consumption, as its price includes the cost of heating the water.
Where can I see my own water consumption?
You can monitor your individual apartment water consumption through your resident pages. You will also see the amount of water consumed on your bill.
Do I deduct the fixed water fee myself from the rent invoice?
You do not need to deduct the water fee yourself from the current rent invoice. We will deliver updated rent invoices, from which the water fee has been removed, during June.
When will the water meters be installed?
The water meters are already installed in your apartment. They will simply be activated starting July 1st. The water meters can be read remotely, so no visit to the apartment is required.
