Each of our buildings is equipped with waste sorting bins or suction pipes for different waste types. But why is waste recycling so important?
Recycling is important because:
You save nature: Recycling reduces the amount of waste to be incinerated and helps conserve natural resources.
Costs decrease: Sorted waste costs approximately half as much as mixed waste, which helps keep waste management costs in check. This affects your rent.
A more sustainable future: By recycling, you participate in environmental protection and reduce your own carbon footprint.
Please remember to sort your waste according to your building’s instructions. Together, we make our daily lives more responsible and keep our living environment pleasant for everyone!

A Finn produces approximately 570 kg of waste per year
Each Finn produces an average of 565 kilograms of municipal waste per year. The nationwide recycling rate for waste is approximately 40 percent – meaning more than half of the waste is not recycled and ends up being incinerated.
Contrary to popular belief, Finland is not among the leading countries in recycling. The EU’s recycling target is 55 percent by 2025. This means we produce an average of 84 kg too much un-recycled waste per person per year compared to the EU targets.
