Here are some tips on how you can influence your home’s temperature.
Radiator thermostats maintain the appropriate temperature in your apartment. The recommended temperature in apartments is generally +20-21 °C.
We recommend getting a thermometer if you wish to monitor your apartment’s temperature. Measure the temperature from the center of the room, approximately one meter above the floor.
Please note that the radiator heats even if it doesn’t feel hot to the touch. The apartment’s temperature also stabilizes with a delay after changes in the outdoor temperature.
Please check these points to ensure your radiators function properly:
- Check that your radiator’s thermostat is turned to the highest number. If you want a cooler temperature, turn the thermostat to a lower setting.
- Ensure that you do not place curtains or furniture in front of the thermostat. Obstacles hinder the thermostat and cause it to misinterpret the room’s temperature.
- Keep your radiator and its background clean.
Also remember:
- In winter, ventilate through the window only briefly; preferably not at all during severe frosts.
- Ensure that the supply and exhaust air vents are cleaned. Do not block the air vents under any circumstances, as this will disrupt the entire building’s ventilation.
Did you know: good sleep at 19 degrees Celsius
According to Motiva’s studies, most people are satisfied when the temperature in the living areas of an apartment is slightly above 21 °C. This is also considered an energy-efficient temperature.
However, you will sleep better in the bedroom if its temperature is around 19-20 °C.
In an overly warm apartment, the indoor air is drier, and the feeling is uncomfortable.
What if your home is cold?
If, however, your home’s temperature is permanently below the recommended temperature (+20-21 °C), please notify us by submitting a fault report.
