The Alppikylä building has been recognized for its community spirit in an international competition. Completed in 2013, the building features 46 apartments, 12 of which are supported housing units. Most apartments are studios and one-bedroom units, with a few three-room apartments also available.
Environment
Alppikylä is situated with excellent transport links between the residential areas of Puistola, Heikinlaakso, Jakomäki, and the Tattarisuo industrial area, close to Malmi Airport. Basic services, including a shopping center, library, pharmacy, health center, swimming pool, daycares, and schools, are located in Jakomäki, approximately 500 meters from Alppikylä.
Alppikylä offers excellent outdoor recreation opportunities. The Malmi Airport recreational area and Puistola sports park are in the immediate vicinity of Alppikylä, just over a kilometer away.
Amenities
Each apartment features a balcony or a French balcony, and all apartments include a heated storage locker.
Apartment walls are painted in light colors. Cabinet doors are made of white MDF furniture board. Floors are covered with plastic matting. The kitchen includes a refrigerator (fridge-freezer in three-room apartments), a 4-plate stove with cast iron hobs, a provision for a dishwasher, and space for a microwave oven.
The walls and floor of the washroom/WC are tiled. The washroom features underfloor heating. Please note that there may be variations in materials and equipment in the apartments compared to what is presented. All apartments are accessible in accordance with building regulations. The building is smoke-free; smoking is not permitted in apartments or common areas.
The rent includes a building-wide broadband connection: DNA Netti basic speed 50 Mbps.
The building has a centralized ventilation system with heated supply air. It is connected to district heating. Parking spaces are outdoor spots on the property.
