Students involved in influencing the planning of the rental house
On 29 September 2022, the latest rental house in the Setlement dwellings celebrated the staff of the contractors, partners and setting dwellings. Kontula Student Hall is located near a wide range of services and good transport links and its 121 homes will be completed in late winter 2023.
The design of the house has taken particular account of the needs of young people and students. Settlement homes and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences signed a cooperation agreement in the autumn of 2020. The house was designed at that time by consulting Metropolia students, what kind of living environment they would like to live, and what they find it important in their study time. The wishes were emphasized in the surveys and workshops, for example. common areas, energy efficiency and various recycling opportunities.

- The facilities in common and work together reduce the experience of loneliness, which is a risk, especially for those arriving from other locations. Community living supports the well -being of young people and students, says Suvi Tuomala, .

Student rental homes for setting dwellings can be applied for by degree students at least 18 years of age. Housing search opens in October.
