Each house has waste sorting dishes or suction pipes for different types of waste. But why is it so important to recycle waste?

Recycling is important because:

You save nature: recycling reduces the amount of waste to be burned and helps save natural resources.

Costs are reduced: sorted waste costs about half less than mixed waste, which helps keep waste management costs under control. This affects your rent.

More sustainable future: Recycling you will participate in environmental protection and reduce your own carbon footprint.

Remember to sort your waste according to your house's instructions. Together we make our daily lives more responsible and keep our living environment comfortable for everyone!

Finns produce about 570 kg of waste per year

Each Finn produces an average of 565 kilos of municipal waste per year. The waste of the waste is about 40 percent - ie more than half of the waste is not recycled and ends up being burned.

Contrary to what is thought, Finland is not the top of recycling. The EU recycling target is 55 % by 2025. Thus, on average, we produce 84 kg of non -recyclable waste per person per year in relation to the EU goals.
